Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Shadow Heritage DLC Releases January 15th

Ubisoft are releasing this week the second episode of their story arc forLegacy of the First Blade. The narrative will focus on Darius who is the first wielder of the Hidden Blade. Set in the shipyards of Achaia, southeast of Kephallonia, players will have the opportunity to uncover what lies behind a new conspiracy that concerns the Order of the Ancients, rewarding you with a powerful new weapon for your ship.

Players will need to complete thefirst episodeof Legacy of the First Blade in order to progress to the next episode. This next instalment is recommended for the players who are at level 28 or higher. The quest will take you on a journey to liberate Achaia from the powerful grasp of the warlord known as The Tempest.

You will have a chance to overthrow The Tempest by using the very weapon she is developing against her, by stealing the plans. But this will require you to hunt down the useful documents and then decode them to make use of this weapon called Chimera’s Breath. The weapon can be used to destroy enemy ships with a flamethrower at close range.

Not only will you wreak havoc at sea, but also on land with Shadow Heritage that grants players a new Hunter ability known as Rapid Fire. Your misthios can unleash a steady stream of arrows, requiring no reloads, as long as your adrenaline meter and arrow supplies hold out.

But it’s not all blood and violence as Shadow Heritage will give you a chance to get to know Darius' son Natakas or daughter Neema (depending on your choice of character, Kassandra or Alexios). Getting a rare chance to see a more human side of the narrative with new heroes as well as foes. As you strengthen your bond with Darius' offspring, you might get to enjoy the more peaceful side to life…but probably not for long, as the next episode of Legacy of the First Blade comes out in March.
