Don’t buy the Dragon’s Dogma 2 microtransactions because every item sold can be acquired in-game. It’s the developer’s decision that some items are rare and hard to get, but I’ve been playing Dragon’s Dogma 2 for 30+ hours and have never not had one of the rarer items, like Ferrystones, Wakestones, Portcrystals, and Rift Crystals, when I needed them.
Best way to get Ferrystones in Dragon’s Dogma 2
Ferrystones are a consumable item that is your only way tofast travel in Dragon’s Dogma 2. You don’t need to spend real-world money on Ferrystones because you canfind Ferrystones in chests and buy them from shops.
It’s rare tofind Ferrystones in cheststhroughout the game, but it’s not impossible. I’ve found many Ferrystones in chests as I’ve explored the wilds and houses in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
you may alsobuy Ferrystones from vendorsfor 10,000 Goldwhich is a lot, but if you knowhow to best farm Gold, it’s not a problem. Vendors only sell one Ferrystone at a time, but they restock in time which gives you an endless supply of Ferrystones.
Best way to get Portcrystals in Dragon’s Dogma 2
Portcrystals are by far the hardest item to get in Dragon’s Dogma 2, but in my experience, you don’t need to use them that often. Portcrystals can’t be bought but are sometimesa quest rewardand are rarelyfound in the open world.
Because thechain of oxcartsis such a good system and the main towns already have permanent Portcrystals in them, I only need one or two mobile Portcrystals in Dragon’s Dogma 2 to visit places I frequent frequently. Once I’m done with that area, I pick up my Portcrystal and use it in a new spot.
Best way to get Wakstones in Dragon’s Dogma 2
Wakestones are easy to get in Dragon’s Dogma 2, and unless you’re killing NPCs for fun, you won’t need to use Wakestones that often. You can easily find Wakestonesin chests just about anywhere.
Three Wakestone Shards make a Wakestone and you can easily find Wakestonesif you have the Trickster Detection Augment equipped. I have that Augment on and it’s incredibly helpful in guiding me toward Wakestones and Seeker’s Tokens.
Best way to get Rift Crystals (RC) in Dragon’s Dogma 2
Rift Crystals, or RC, is the hardest currency to get a lot of. There are several ways tofarm Rift Crystals in Dragon’s Dogma 2, but I recommendfinding it in chests and Riftstones.
It’s rare for a chest to contain RC, but it’s not impossible. I’ve found plenty of chests containing RC as I’ve explored the wilds in Dragon’s Dogma 2 — you just have toloot every chest iconyou come across. Same for Riftstones. Whenever you see a Riftstone in the wild, you get 30 RC for activating it. All of this RCadds up over time.
Again,don’t buy the Dragon’s Dogma 2 microtransactions. These four items are the only items worth buying for real money but even these you’re able to find consistently with time.
