Rumors began to pop up this week as some college teams posted on X about their uniform reveals stating “It’s in the Game.” This hinted that a patch would be releasing this week for College Football 25, and it has. This isn’t a simple patch, either, as multiple facets of the game are getting updated. This includes more uniforms, a new College Football Bracket page in Dynasty Mode, more formations, and a lot more. Aspects to the presentation, Ultimate Team, Road to Glory, Dynasty logic and Gameplay. The devs also addressed the FCS schools by stating, “Discovered that FCS SE, MW and NW were secretly using professional players and passing them off as collegiate players. Gave Sanctions and ensured they are now using properly-rated players.” Players will need to start a new Dynasty to see this and other things go into effect.
Gameplay Changes
Headlining Gameplay changes is the addition of eight new shotgun formations that will be added to a total of 35 teams. Pursuit angles have been tuned to better differentiate players with high and low pursuit ratings. Players can also expect a reduced frequency of broken tackles from trailing defenders, a lot of changes to player behavior an AI, increased stamina loss for scrambling quarterbacks behind the line of scrimmage, and much more. The devs also rebalanced abilities so maybe players from Ohio State aren’t the modern day Michael Vick anymore. The full notes for Gameplay changes are below.

College Football 25 isn’t without its issues and its far from perfect, but this is quite possibly the best EA SPORTS football experience to date.
Dynasty Logic
While a new Playoff Bracket Screen has been introduced and FCS schools have been brought back to the real world, there are a ton of fixes here. This includes dynamic attendance penalties and retuning the Toughest Places to Play formula. Defensive Schemes and Playbooks have been updated for multiple teams including Notre Dame, Miami, USC and more. Recruiting, SuperSim and Polls are also getting fixes and adjustments along with Custom Conferences. The full breakdown for Dynasty fixes are below.

Most of the changes in these modes are mainly bug fixes. Wear and Tear UI will show position, appropriate ratings and impact in Road to Glory. Generating the Best Lineup in Ultimate Team will no longer change equipped visuals and playbook. The Presentation aspect introduces those new uniform pieces for Baylor, Oregon, Iowa State, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, Bowling Green, northwestern, UTEP, Boiset State, New Mexico State, App State, Texas State, Louisiana, New Mexico and South Alabama.
