A dodge function inDragon’s Dogma 2seems to be vital for combat. Being able to avoid a dragon’s flames with a dodge roll would certainly come in handy.

Can You Dodge In Dragon’s Dogma 2?

Yes, there is a way to dodge in Dragon’s Dogma 2, but it’s more cryptic than you’d first think. It’s not as easy aschanging your appearance, for example. The vocation you pick determines what defensive abilities you have. A Fighter uses their shield to block incoming attacks and sometimes counter them. Archers kick their opponents down. However, from my experience so far,Thieves are the only vocation with a decent dodgeability.

While having knives equipped, your character can Swift Step their way out of danger. On PS5, it’s R1 to perform this move, but if you’re on another system, you may see the button allocation on the bottom right.

If you want to remain as a Fighter, by the way, you can Dash, but it’s not as effective as Swift Step. If you’re fighting a big monster though like a Griffin, it might be better toactually climb on it.

How Can You Change Vocations In Dragon’s Dogma 2?

If you need to change your vocation to a Thief in Dragon’s Dogma 2, head over to any Vocation Guild in a major town like Vernworth. The one in Vernworth is below Shakir’s Inn and nearby the Grand Riftstone of Vermund. You’ll need 100 Discipline Points to unlock a new Vocation, but they’ll be fairly easy to obtain. All you need to do is defeat enemies to get Discipline Points (Dcp).

Dragon’s Dogma 2 Warfarer Overview: Skills, Augmentations, and More

The Warfarer stands as an intriguing Advanced Vocation in Dragon’s Dogma 2, characterized by its unparalleled versatility and adaptability.

Once you unlock the Thief vocation, you’ll thankfully get the weapons and equipment to fulfill this role from the Guild. It’s honestly one of the best classes in the game as your attacks are lightning quick and you move faster around the open world. I won’t be going back to theFighter classanytime soon.

If you’re not dead set on the Thief vocation, you may store your past equipment with any innkeeper. It’s a great way to manage your storage, regardless. It’s where I place all of my heavy items, like armor and weapons.
