Elden Ring Nightreignis built around a rinse and repeat formula, where players will take 40+ minutes of their time to go from level 1 to upwards of level 15 and slay a vicious beast at the end. Even after nearly a month, this has far from gotten old, but to ensure that players are still on their feet, FromSoftware has been introducing Everdark Sovereign versions of their bosses. While the expeditions themselves are pretty much the same, the main antagonists have undergone a drastic change that will test even the more skilled players.
How to Beat Sentient Pest in Elden Ring Nightreign
Every FromSoftware game needs a duo fight, and Gnoster is just that fight for Elden Ring Nightreign.
Weakness: Poison
Everdark Sovereign Adel Moveset
Description
Triple Jaw Snap
Adel will constantly be moving towards the player, biting in front of them.
A basic head attack.
Grab Attack
This is very similar to the regular fight’s grab attack when Adel opens its jaws up wide and runs at a player.
Targeted Attack
Adel will target one player and perform two dashes and then two grabs.
Lightning Storm
Adel will stop and begin to charge up a lightning blast in a large area around him.
Flying up in the air and teleporting all over the place, Adel will place a light beacon on the field and create a giant tornado around it.

Every time an Everdark Sovereign boss is released, they aren’t completely reworked. The boss fight is significantly different from what it was in the standard game. While there are resemblances to what we faced before, they have been scaled up significantly, even adding entirely new mechanics and phases that drastically change how the fight is approached.
For Gaping Jaw, this is entirely the case, as, while we didn’t think he was too difficult in the base game, the Everdark version is no pushover. His grab attacks are more vicious than ever before, and he even has a new phase that shrinks the arena into a small circle.

I guess the first thing we should talk about is how the Gaping Jaw, Adel, will start in its second phase right from the get-go, being already in lightning form. Even that, when he appears, it’s best to stay back as he will propel himself forward and unleash a couple of ground AOEs that explode after a couple of seconds. These will happen throughout the fight, and if you’re able to’t get out of them in time, you can simply jump to avoid them.
When a player is targeted, indicated by the red target on their body, Adel will charge towards them. There are exactly four attacks that the player will need to dodge, with the latter two being the deadliest. The first are standard dash attacks can simply sprint to the left and right to avoid. The third and fourth attacks are grabs, which you should be rolling into the boss to avoid.

Adel will also charge up for a large lightning attack that will do massive damage to anyone around them. You can simply outrange the attack or use an ultimate from a class such as Iron Eye to stun Adel out of it. There will also be a similar attack where Adel will freak out and fly all over the place. There will be a large light beacon along with various small lightning strikes. Whatever you do, run as far away as possible from the light beacon as that’s where he will land and kill anyone in the vicinity.
When he lands, Adel will create a large tornado that will do constant damage to anyone outside the eye of the storm. There will be blue Spirit Springs around the outside for the player to jump into the arena. Fortunately, this storm will eventually die down, although Adel will cast it again if the battle goes on for too long.

While in this tornado, though, you are limited in space, and Adel will constantly be slamming his head at players, snapping his jaws and, of course, trying to grab them. This is a very dangerous phase where you need to do the best you can to survive more than anything. Outside of these, though, it’s rinse and repeat until Adel is dead. The best thing we would recommend is ensuring that you get the Mountain Tops map, because obtaining the Power at the top will only help take down Adel much quicker.
