The anime seriesAttack on Titanpresented viewers with a dystopian and frightening world where the Titans’ terrifying power looms large over everything. However, it also boasted powerful warriors like Levi Ackerman, who stood up for humanity and ultimately won the fight. Levi made a name for himself early on as a ruthless, driven-by-objective antihero who was both a capable leader and an emotionally detached individual.

Levi has never expressed romantic interest in anyone and typically keeps his emotions locked off to them. Many fans believed that Petra Ral would have been the ideal match for him because of their shared history and special bond, but it might not have been beneficial for the series.
Although many fans wanted to see Levi live a happy life after the ending of the rumbling, it could not have been possible for the character as he almost lost everyone and everything in the process of saving Paradis and humanity, which may be a sad thing but was a necessary sacrifice.

Fans Wanted Levi Ackerman To Have a Love Interest
The Special Operations Squad captain of the Survey Corps, Levi Ackerman, also known by his formal title Captain Levi, is regarded as the strongest soldier in human history. Hajime Isayama himself attested to the fact that Levi Ackerman never had a romantic interest in the series.
Even though he hasn’t fallen in love with either of them, he has most frequently been shipped with Hange or Petra. Fans of Levi wanted a love interest to bring him happiness and end all of his pain and suffering because they saw the suffering he endured throughout his life.

Unfortunately, there was no room for a romantic partner because Levi Ackerman’s character development was so intense and nuanced. His life was filled with sadness and violence from the day he was born as he grew older it only increased more and more. Although fans hoped for Levi’s love interest, Isayama was right not to give Levi any romantic partner.

Hajime Isayama Was Right in Not Giving Levi a Love Interest
Since Levi Ackerman was meant to be an individual who was absolutely beyond falling in love, Isayama’s writing of Levi was stable throughout the entire series. He is essentially the resolute and dignified warrior that humanity needs to continue moving forward, which is fantastic, but it is also a very solitary life for him.
He had to endure the greatest hardship, losing many allies and friends in the process. Following their horrific murder, he was forced to continue living out their ideals, which meant suffering more setbacks, wounds, and catastrophes.

It makes sense that fans would have wanted him to have the happy ending he never did, but Isayama’s decision to not give him a love interest is also justified by the fact that he might have lost them too, making it sad and depressing for Levi and the audience.
