Anyone who is playing the Rogue class on the Alliance side will want to complete the Thrice Stolen quest as soon as possible in World of Warcraft: Season of Discovery. This will lead to the first rune that most players in the class get, and here’s how to find it.

How to Find the Shadowstrike Rune in World of Warcraft

To find the Shadowstrike rune as a Human Rogue, you need to head southeast of the Northshire Abbey in the Northshire Valley to the Vineyard where the Defias thieves are hiding. On the south side of the Vineyard, you can find a chest in between two wooden shacks and a bush. This chest is exactly where the Shadowstrike Rune is hiding in the Thrice Stolen quest.

Of course, you need to speak to Jorik Kerridan outside of the Northshire Abbey before taking down the main objective. Jorik, who is a Rogue class trainer, will assign you the first task of obtaining a Rune. But remember, this is only for the Human Rogues. If you are a Gnome or a Dwarf, you need to speak to Solm Hargrin in Coldridge Valley after getting the Rune from the cave with the Ice Troll.

Steps to Complete Thrice Stolen in WoW: Season of Discovery:

Going back to the rune itself, once you open the chest and grab it, you still need to use it. Consuming the Shadowstrike Rune will give you the ability to engrave it later on and you can return to Jorik Kerridan or Solm Hargrin to finish the quest. You will get some leather armor as a reward and access to your first rune in the World of Warcraft Season of Discovery.

It’s also important to remember that many of the methods for obtaining runes will change depending on your race. So, as you research guides, ensure that they match up with the directions you need.
