If you want to make progress and survive inGrounded 2, you’ll need to do a lot of crafting. As you might expect if you’re used to survival crafting games, you can only make so many recipes with just your inventory and hands. Beyond that, you have tostart unlocking crafting stationsand building them at your base to continue making progress.
Where to Find Grass Seeds in Grounded 2
A common material that easily goes overlooked, Grass Seeds will help you develop an Omni-Shovel for digging up valuable treasure.
The workbench is thefirst crafting station you unlock, and doing so comes up as part of the tutorial that Grounded 2 runs you through so that you can get the required tools to start your journey and increase the number of items you can craft, which means you start unlocking increasingly useful items.
How to Unlock the Workbench
Once you leave the starting facility, the game has you follow the path down to another facility. It’s close to the starting location and difficult to miss if you follow the path, so head down and enter the next facility, then go to your right andgrab one of the tools from the wall. This tool lets you start chopping larger resources, such as grass, and that’s exactly what you need.
Leave the facility andchop down a blade of grass for Grass Planks. Take one of the planks back to the facility and use the Resource Analyzer on it. Once the analysis is complete, you’ll unlock the crafting recipe for the workbench.
How to Craft the Workbench
Since you already need to chop down a blade of grass for Grass Planks to analyze, you should be able to get at least three Grass Planks from it. You’ll need those for actually crafting the bench, so take them to the location where you plan on building it. If you don’t have the planks, you’ll need to take down another blade of grass, as this is the full list of items you need for the workbench:
Sprigs and Sap can both be found by exploring your surroundings, and it’s possible that you might have some of these items already from your time traveling through the beginning building and then heading to the next facility. Once you have the required items,decide where you want to build the workbench, open your crafting menu, find the workbench recipe, use the indicator to decide where to place it, and then use that indicator to bring up the build optionand make the workbench usable. After you complete those steps, you have access to the workbench in Grounded 2 for additional crafts.
