There are many characters in the MCU that have managed to capture the hearts of audiences, and among them is Iman Vellani’s Kamala Khan, a character who will probably be at the center of the Young Avengers storyline in the MCU.

Ms. Marvelled right intoThe Marvels, and while there were some controversies surrounding it, Iman Vellani’s performance was pretty well received across the board, and it seems that Marvel has more in store for the character, as revealed by Brad Winderbaum.
Marvel is looking forward toMs. MarvelSeason 2
Brad Winderbaum, the head of Marvel TV, had a lot of things to say aboutMs. Marvelbut was careful not to talk about anything that might be gauged as a spoiler. He said, viaThe Hollywood Reporter:
I love Iman. She’s incredible. I love that character. I will tell you that she’s certainly a big part of the MCU to me. Ms. Marvel is a really important show to us, and without going into great detail, because I don’t want to spoil anything, she is top of mind. So it’s going to be exciting to see where she pops up next.

Iman Vellani‘s Ms. Marvel is one of the more popular characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the wake ofAvengers: Endgame, and as of the finale ofThe Marvels, the character is busy assembling her own team of young heroes, which might or might not be going with the Champions as the name for their team of young heroes.
Ms. Marvelbeing a mutant in the MCU still needs to be explained
Ms. Marvel had her story radically changed in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. To begin with, her powers were changed to hard light constructs rather than her expansion powers, and then the character was turned into a mutant, rather than sticking to her Inhuman heritage.

Given that the X-Men do not exist in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (that we know of) but other mutants (like Namor) do exist in the MCU, it remains to be seen how these characters will work out in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Given that the X-Men from other universes will also be a part of the MCU in the future, upcoming Marvel films have a lot to untangle and figure out.
Ms. Marvelcan be streamed on Disney+
