Summary
The Boysseason 4 is teasing two new supes that I never expected to see, and I am absolutely thrilled about it.The Boysseason 4 has already introduced several new supes, with characters like Sister Sage and Firecracker managing to keep the series fresh while finding new ways to be absolutely horrible people. Although I am already satisfied with the amount of new characters that has been introduced in the new season,The Boysseason 4 seems to be taking things one step further, with episode 4 teasing the introduction of two surprising new supes.
The Boysseason 4 is finally here, andafter nearly two years of waiting since the end ofThe Boysseason 3, I couldn’t be more excited now that the show is releasing on Amazon Prime Video. The Boysseason 4 picks up right whereThe Boysseason 3 ended, with the titular team attempting to stop Victoria Neuman from becoming Vice President of the United States while Butcher operates in the background and continues attempting to kill Homelander. The Boysseason 4, episode 4 continues the story in a tragic way, but it teases a new supe.

The Boys Season 4, Episode 4 Sets Up Butcher & Hugh Campbell Sr. As Supes
They Have Both Taken Compound V
The Boysseason 4, episode 4 is setting upsupe versions of Billy Butcher and Hugh Campbell Sr., and I couldn’t be more excited. The Boysseason 4 has featured an arc in which Hughie’s dad has a stroke and is in a coma, and I truly believed that the show would pull the plug on him before the season ends. However, episode 4 reveals that Hughie was able to get some Compound V from A-Train, with the serum being injected into his comatose father. The Boysseason 4, episode 4 ends with Hugh Sr.’s eyes opening up, teasing that is he back as a supe.
Hugh Sr. isn’t the only character who becomes a supe in episode 4, as Billy Butcher teases his future status as a supe as well. At one point, Billy Butcher is being strangled by a supe, with him blacking out. When Butcher wakes up, however, he realizes that the supe has met an incredibly violent death, with this most likely being the product of Butcher’s superpowers. Butcher later reveals that he took Compound V in an attempt to prevent his death, withButcher being scheduled to die in six monthsdue to his use of Temp V in season 3.

The Boys Season 4 Soundtrack Guide: Every Song And When They Play
Apart from walking through supe satire, action, and drama, Amazon’s The Boys season 4 also features some memorable songs in some of its best scenes.
Supe Simon Pegg & Supe Butcher Are Both Hugely Exciting For The Boys Season 4
It’ll Completely Change Their Roles
Although they have just been regular humans up until now, I believe that supe Simon Pegg and supe Billy Butcher are incredibly exciting forThe Boysseason 4. Up until now,Simon Pegg has played a minor role inThe Boys. I’ve always hoped that he would get a bigger role due to me being a fan of Simon Pegg movies likeShaun of the Dead, and this Compound V storyline teases that his story is about to get much bigger. Rather than being a side character, Pegg is about to play a supe, and I couldn’t be more excited.
Billy Butcher becoming a supe is also a big deal, as it means that he could stay around longer. Due toBilly Butcher’s Temp V usage, he has had an expiration date for a while, with the show teasing that he will die before its conclusion. However, Butcher’s usage of Compound V could allow him to live for even longer, with him potentially sticking around until the end of the show.

The Boys Season 4’s Rotten Audience Score Explained: What’s Really Going On
Amazon Prime Video’s The Boys has always received rave reviews from critics and audiences alike, but The Boys season 4 is a somewhat different story.
Predicting What Powers Butcher & Hugh Campbell Sr. Will Have In The Boys
Temp V Could Contain The Answer
In the world ofThe Boys, parents and their children often have the same powers, something demonstrated by Homelander and Ryan as well asGen V’s Polarity and Andre. Thus, it could make sense forSimon Pegg’s Hugh Sr. to have teleportation powers, much like his son did when he consumed Temp V inThe Boysseason 3.
Rules for how Temp V works haven’t been entirely established, so I’m a little unsure about Butcher. It is entirely possible that Compound V could cause his laser eyes to be permanent, but since episode 4 hid Butcher’s powers, it would be odd to have them be something that we’ve already seen. Since Ezekiel seems to have exploded when Butcher wakes up, it is possible that he could have Victoria Neuman and Marie Moreau’s blood-bending powers. However, this is all just speculation, asThe Boyswill undoubtedly reveal their powers soon.
