It seems like everything has an Expansion Pass DLC these days, and Fire Emblem Engage is no exception. For a onetime purchase of $29.99, you’ll be able to get all of Fire Emblem Engage’s future DLCs, which will be released over the course of 2023. But is Fire Emblem Engage Season’s pass worth it?
Is the Fire Emblem Engage Season Pass Worth it? – Answered
Well, if it helps, I bought it. But if you want more objective criteria here’s how it breaks down.
Fire Emblem Engage’s DLC will be released in “waves”, with a total of four installments.
The first DLC, available on release date (August 02, 2025) will give players the following:
The items are all fine and good, but the highlight of Wave 1 is undoubtedly the chance to meet some of your favorite characters from past games and the Emblem Bracelets. When a unit wears the Emblem Bracelet, that unit will receive stat boosts (including a 20% increase in earned exp).
Wave 2 – 4’s release dates haven’t been announced but we know that these waves will also come with additional emblems, support items, and new accessories.
So… is it worth it? It depends on whether you see yourself playing this game in the long term. This DLC is fantastic if you’re just starting out. The ability to accelerate the growth of your chosen unit is always good, and so is the ability to make them a tank.

The support items and accessories are okay mid-to-late game, but great if you’re just starting. Which makes this DLC more valuable the earlier you purchase it.
So, here’s how it boils down.
If you want strong items and strong units early in the game, and you see yourself picking up Fire Emblem Engage a few months from now when the new DLC is released, it’s absolutely worth it.
If you’re happy to grind through the missions with the items and equipment that’s available to you, you have no idea who Edelgard or Tiki is, and you’re not sure you’ll give Fire Emblem Engage more than one play through… save the $30.
And again, I say that as someone who loves this series to death.
