It’s known thatCI Gameshas begun work on a sequel toLords of the Fallen(a PC-exclusive on Epic), which itself continued the story seen in the 2014 game of the same name. However, the publisher has stated they won’t pursue inclusivity out of fear that it might not bring the same commercial success.

Lords of the Fallen Updates to Version 2.0

If you already own the game, you can now download version 2.0, which includes an improved UI/HUD, cross-play and cross-save functionality, and many other new features.

Perhaps the most interesting addition is thefriend passfeature, which works similarly to the invites in Split/Second—without needing a second copy of the game.

Steam

This means a player can invite someone else to enjoy cross-platform co-op, even if that second person doesn’t own the game. It makes it much easier for two players to adventure together in this soulslike world.

Here’s everything version 2.0 adds to the game, now available as a free download onPC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

A jump button has also been added, along with new movement options, attacks, and various combat improvements that make battles more dynamic and visually striking.

As part of the game’s dual-world mechanic, a new guide has been introduced for using the Umbral Lamp—an essential tool for exploring the alternate dimension inLords of the Fallen, so it’s worth checking out.

Other areas that have seen updates include the character creator and weapon sound effects, which now better reflect each weapon’s unique characteristics.

The game from CI Games is now compatible with PSSR improvements on PS5 Pro, though additional upgrades might arrive starting in 2026.
