Lost Ark is still going strong! The game’s official Twitter account recently posted a couple of cryptic gifs that tease us with some upcoming content, specifically a new story character and Abyss Dungeon.

Lost Ark Teases New Lore Stories and a New Abyss Dungeon Coming to the Game

It has been about three weeks since the initial head startlaunch, andLost Arkis still very popular. The game is still able to consistently hit a peak concurrent player count of 900 thousand. Even though thehighest player count was 1.3 million, this is still a very respectable number for the free-to-play title.

However, it is now time for us to move forward. The current release version for the Western release already integrates a lot of quality of life features and content that have been introduced into later patches of the Korean version. One popular addition is the substitution of theSorceressfrom the Summoner. The former was actually released in late 2021.

Kadan Tease

The official Lost Ark Twitter account Tweeted a couple of gifs that hint at the things to come. First off was the silhouette of a majestic, yet ominous deer figure. The deer’s horns radiate with celestial red energies and has glowing eyes and what appears to be a halo.

Our second image features a man facing away from the viewer who features an imposing stance. Mist and darkness surround this figure. So who and what exactly are being teased? These two figures are in fact major parts of Lost Ark’s Season 2 update, which launched back in 2020 in Korea.

Argos Tease

Kadan, the first Guardian Slayer

First off we’ll talk about the mysterious man. Fans have speculated that this is in fact Kadan, who is known as the first Guardian Slayer. Kadan seems to be quite the important figure in Lost Ark’sLore, though what exactly his role moving forward would be is still unknown unless you’ve played on the Korean servers.

Kadan was one of the original seven Sidereals that participated in the Chain War. This was an ancient war fought hundreds of years before the events of the video game. The other Sidereals that fought alongside Kadan were Shandi, Nineveh, Galatur, Sien, Azena and Inanna and King Luterra.

Clearer Kadan

Kadan is currently referenced as anin-game card. He is part of the “Light of Salvation”, “Siderreals in the Chain War”, “Kadan’s Whereabouts”, and the “Earthshattering” card sets.

Argos, a New Abyss Dungeon

The second reveal in the Teaser Tweets was the menacing deer. This creature has been identified as Argos.

Argos is a new 6-manAbyss Dungeonthat’s being added to the pool of late-game activities. There are currently 11 Abyss Dungeons in the Western release, ranging from theDemon Beast Canyonfor iLevel 340 characters toOreha Prevezafor iLevel 1325 characters.

How Strong is Kadan

Speculation indicates that Argos will have an item level requirement of 1370. The fight also looks to consist of multiple stages, as Argos will be present in three different environments.

Catching up to Lost Ark Korea

Smilegate RPG is doing its best for Lost Ark’s Western release to catch up to the current content in Korea. Hopefully, this means that major content updates will happen every 1-2 months. We still lack some content, such as additionaladvancedand basicclasses, dungeons, equipment,Guardian Raids, and more.

Introducing Season 2 content so quickly after the release is a great step in the right direction. Hopefully, we will also get treated to more concretepatchplans or better yet, a content roadmap.
