The Breachis an upcoming Lovecraftianhorrorfilm from director Rodrigo Gudiño, the founder of Rue Morgue Magazine and the director ofThe Last Will and Testament of Rosalind Leigh. “Hawkins and coroner Jacob Littlecorn suspect the disfigured body is that of theoretical physicist Graham Raphelson, also known as the ‘molecular madman of Trinity College,’ who recently disappeared. The two investigators enlist Meg Gilday, a charter boat captain, and Linda Raphelson to examine the place where her husband was last seen alive. There, they find a house infested with more than secrets: bugs wriggle behind the walls, and in the attic sits a bizarre machine cobbled together from toy parts and electrical wire, a device that might be able to tear a hole through the fabric of reality itself. When Meg and Jacob get bitten and someone goes missing, Hawkins realizes that firing up the machine might be the only way to solve the case.”

The production company behind the film is Raven Banner and Hangar18, while Trinity Creative Partnership will distribute the movie.
One of the executive producers onThe Breachis Slash of Guns N Roses fame, who also followed in Danny Elfman’s shoes by being a muscian turned score composer. That’s not all for the horror fans that also love rock music.. Alex Lifeson, the lead guitarist of RUSH, will also make a cameo within the film.

The Breachwas written by Nick Cutter, which is a pseudonym for Canadian author Craig Davidson, who has also written books under the name Patrick Lestewka. Cutter actually wrote the screenplay for the film alongside Ian Weir. Under his own name, Cutter’s work consists ofRust and Bone, The Fighter, Sarah Court, Cataract City, Precious Cargo, The Saturday Night Ghost Club, andCascade.
Cutter’s debut novel wasThe Troop, which is about a troop of boy scouts on an island where they end up encountering grizzlybody horror. How grizzly, you might ask.
