Michael J. Foxmay have left acting behind due to his progressing Parkinson’s Disease, but thanks to the release of his new documentary Still, the much loved actor has been able to reunite with with some of his formerSpin Cityco-stars, includingRichard Kind. Having left the show back in 2000, any time that Fox is able to come back together with his old colleagues is reason for fans to celebrate on the actor’s social media account, and this was not exception.
Fox shared a series of images on his Instagram account, which he simply commented on as “STILL friends”, and along with Kind the event for his Apple TV+ documentary was also attended by fellowSpin Citystars Alexander Chaplin and Michael P. Boatman, as well as others including author Harlan Coben, singer Elvis Costello, and actors Clark Gregg and Denis Leary. The collection of photos instigated a wave of love for both Fox and forSpin City, which itself came to an end just over 20 years ago in 2002.
“Loved, loved, lovedSpin Citywhen you were still on. Your acting was always spot on and your comic timing is flawless. You are the best,” one fan commented.
“Love seeing them again. I feel so blessed that I got to see a live taping ofSpin Citybefore you left! I am counting down the days till my family can watchStill,” another added.
“Seeing all those Spin City faces has really made me smile. How lovely,” said third.
Even after two decades, it is clear thatSpin Citystill has a place in the hearts of many fans, as does the actor himself. When it comes to supporters, Fox clearly has a dedicated fan basewho are with him every step of the way in his battle with Parkinson’s.

Ahead of the release ofStill, a film incorporating the life of Fox in his own words, the actor discussed his view onhow Parkinson’s is affecting himand how it is getting much more difficult to live with the disease as it progresses. In an interview withCBS Sunday Morning, Fox expressed his belief that he doesn’t believe he has much longer left to live.
“[Parkinson’s is] banging on the door. I’m not gonna lie. It’s gettin’ hard, it’s gettin’ harder. It’s gettin’ tougher. Every day it’s tougher. But, that’s the way it is. I mean, you know, who do I see about that? I had spinal surgery. I had a tumor on my spine. And it was benign, but it messed up my walking. And then, [I] started to break stuff. Broke this arm, and I broke this arm, I broke this elbow. I broke my face. I broke my hand. [That’s] a big killer with Parkinson’s. It’s falling … and aspirating food and getting pneumonia. All these subtle ways that get ya … You don’t die from Parkinson’s. You die with Parkinson’s. So I’ve been thinking about the mortality of it … I’m not gonna be 80. I’m not gonna be 80.”
