That said, things haven’t exactly been perfect in the eyes of fans. Over the past couple of months, Monster Hunter fans have asked Capcom to introduce layered weapons to the game. Finally, three months after launch, those fans are getting their wish.

Layered Weapons Are Coming With Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 2

Capcom has confirmed that when Monster Hunter Wilds Ver. 1.011, Title Update 2, Layered Weapons will be introduced to the game. Fans are, to say the least, excited.

“Let’s gooooo! No more ugly artisan weapons,” proclaims one fan. “Artisan reign is over! Long live fashion!” shouts another.

Layered weapons allow players to change the appearance of their weapons. Think of it like the popular transmog system in World of Warcraft. The feature was first added in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne and was extremely popular.

People were surprised it wasn’t present at launch in Monster Hunter Wilds, though Capcom teased earlier this year that it will eventually return in Wilds. Now we know that its long-awaited return will take place this summer. The wait is almost over, Hunters!
