Elden Ring Nightreign: Guardian Remembrance Guide

A tale of a knight seeking answers about his flock’s past.

First Remembrance Stage

Begin this piece of Raider’s remembrance by defeating the first boss, Tricephalos.

When you are ready to begin Raider’s Chapter 2 story, you’ll need to defeatTricephalosto unlock the ability to access his remembrance. Afterward, you will be able to access chapter 2 in his journal and begin the remembrance. Here you will be transported to the stone monument that is housed just outside the Roundtable Hold. The mannequin will instruct you to interact with the monument. Once you have, you’ll need to speak with him repeatedly to exhaust his dialogue to progress to the next portion of the remembrance.

When the mannequin’s dialogue has been completed, you’ll need to interact with the monument one more time. This time, you’ll be transported to a colosseum to fight a boss, theOnestrike Gladiator. This boss is similar to theGrave Wardenenemies fought in Evergaol fights, and is fairly easy to dispatch quickly. He has large sweeping attacks that can be easily dodged, and with Raider’s Character Skill, you can use them to your advantage. The Character Skill is the best way to deal with him, as this will knock him over onto the ground and allow you to hit him hard with some attacks.

When the gladiator moves in for some of the heavier-looking moves, you’ll want to use your skill to interrupt their animation and potentially open them up for a finisher attack. While a few of his attacks can’t break your poise, you will still want to avoid taking too many of these head-on. You’re only level 5 for this fight, and the attacks can hit you quite hard if you aren’t careful. Avoid attacks when you’re able to, and use the skill to hit through his combos, and you’ll take care of this boss very quickly.

When the fight is complete, you’ll obtain the Torn Braided Coil. The mannequin will speak with you right after the fight is done, where you’ll show him theTorn Braided Coil. Once he has told you he will look into the item’s background, you’ll need to speak with him again, where he will instruct you to touch the monument once more. When his dialogue has been exhausted, you will be able to end this remembrance stage, with the exit being near the monument behind the mannequin.

Second Remembrance Stage

Like most remembrance stories, this will be available after completing any expedition.

Chapter 4 for Raider will be available when you have gone through and collected Memory Fragments. These are available after completing any expedition of your choice. Here, you’ll once again be transported to the monument from Chapter 2 in the Roundtable Hold. Talking to the mannequin, he will give you information on Raider’s past foe who is destined to come back to finish their fight. After he has finished speaking, you may interact with the monument again, teleporting you into the colosseum for another fight.

Unlike the last fight, you will be up against a beast creature, theBlinding Elder Lion. This is essentially a normal fight with theElder Lionboss that you can find roaming certain areas while on an expedition. These are quick and very aggressive bosses, which can be a hassle when fighting as Raider when his Character Skill is on cooldown. Even though this fight will have you at level 8, Blinding Elder Lion can and will hit very hard. Some of its attacks take out almost half of your health, so you’ll want to be defensive until you know you can land a hit with Raider’s attacks.

Elden Ring Nightreign Revenant Remembrance Guide

Due to Raider being slower than some of the Blinding Elder Lion’s attacks, you’ll need to create an opening with his Character Skill. You’ll have to deal with rapid strikes and lunges while going head-on into the boss. You can trade blows with it due to Raider’s high poise, but if you do this too often, you can end up losing too much health and have to try again from the start. You can interrupt most of the attacks thrown your way, and with the Character Skill, you will be able to buy yourself time to breathe and take down the boss.

After the boss has been defeated, you can speak with the mannequin to end the remembrance. The exit will be located in the same spot as the last time, giving you access toRaider’s Chalicewhen this section of Raider’s story has been completed.

Seeking greater power requires taking on optional bosses.

Final Remembrance Stage

For this final stage, you’ll finally face Raider’s foe.

As usual, Chapter 7 will be available after gathering the required Memory Fragments. When done, you can access this final chapter in his story via the journal. The mannequin will inform you that your rival has withdrawn from the event, and the monument will not give you a response when interacting with it. From here, you can open up your map and notice that a new objective is available on the southern beach. Heading to the southern area in the Roundtable Hold, once you’ve reached the objective, you will be transported to the colosseum one final time.

When you enter the arena, you will faceWhite Horn, Raider’s rival on the seas. He is armed with anaxeand amace, with powerful moves that can hurt quite a bit. But during this phase, he has a short range and can be interrupted by Raider’s Colossal Weapon and Character Skill. However, White Horn also possesses the same skill, so you’ll need to be careful when he queues it up to avoid unnecessary damage. With most of his attacks vulnerable to Raider’s attacks, except his Character Skill,Retaliate, you can make quick work of this phase.

When around 60% of White Horn’s HP remains, he will transform and enter phase 2. In this phase, he will become anUlcerated Tree Spiritenemy and be much more aggressive. If you are familiar with this enemy from your expeditions, you’ll be able to recognize everything that he will throw your way. With pillars of fire being cast, quick lunging attacks, and imbuing his jaw with lightning. It may be tempting to keep your distance from this second phase and bide your time for an opening, but this will turn the fight into a war of attrition.

What you should do is stay close to the boss and dodge when you see an attack come your way, as usual. But you want to keep him from using any of the quicker and long-range attacks by sticking close to his left or right sides. Doing so will allow you to avoid danger and prepare for any counterattacks when you see an opening. Once the fight has been completed, you can speak with the mannequin to prepare for the final piece of Raider’s story. Approach the grave marker nearby to end his questline.
