Every month, Amazon Games releases a new and excitingupdateforLost Ark. July saw one of the biggest in recent memory; not quite on the same level as Tier 4, but it certainly is up there. It featured Paradise, a new Mokoko Challenge Express, Mokoko Bootcamp, and so much more. August is looking a little lighter, but Amazon seems to be teasing more improvements than we initially thought.
New Events
Rise of the Valkyrie
Arguably the biggest attraction to Lost Ark’s August update is the release of the Female Warrior class, Valkyrie. This is the newest support character that also has a viable DPS build. With her release, we are seeing a new major event called Rise of the Valkyrie. This event will target Tier 4 players and feature various rewards and honing support up until 1700.
It will certainly help any character you may have pushed with the July Mokoko Challenge Express event, which had support from 1585 to 1700. At the end, you’ll be rewarded with a large amount of honing materials, progression materials, and gems, notably four level 7.

Additional Powerpass
Alongside this new event, we’ll also be receiving a new Powerpass. If you don’t know what a Powerpass is, it’s essentially a character boost, allowing a selected character to go upwards of 1600. For this event, you’ll only be given up to 1585, but it allows players to start progressing a new character.
That’s not to mention they will be Paradise ready, meaning you can slowly push them every week with the rewards you get from the RNG-based dungeon.

Best yet, though, if you haven’t used the Powerpass from the July update (mostly for those who have been waiting for Valkyrie), the new pass will stack. So, you don’t have to worry about using them immediately as they will expire in October.

Ebony Cube Changes
It’s not just the events, but the Ebony Cube will be changing, as well. Cube has changed quite a bit since its initial conception. Now, it’s looking to be a lot less homework as Amazon and Smilegate are doubling the rewards for Cube tickets, all while halfing the drop rate.
Existing Cube tickets will be converted into new ones at a rate of 2:1, so be sure to use any odd-numbered tickets you may have.

Finally, Paradise will start allowing the player to convert cube tickets into Hell Keys, which should allow for even more RNG goodness. This is a huge improvement as we need even more ways of obtaining keys than the three to four handed out each week for simply participating in the Crucible.
1640 (1st Cube)
1680 (2nd Cube)
1700 Cube (3rd Cube)
Hyper Awakening Coming to T3
In a final bit of exciting news, Smilegate will be moving the acquisition of Hyper Awakening to Tier 3. Originally, you needed to be 1640 and have completed South Kurzan. But now, to ensure the Crucible rankings are fairer, the developers are moving when you’re able to acquire the quest and the abilities to when you clear South Kurzan. This means you’ll need to be at least 1580, which will boost Tier 3 characters' damage significantly.
These aren’t the only updates coming to the August update, but we’ll have to learn about the rest with the patch notes when they release on August 19.
