Seth MacFarlaneis already bringingTedto Peacock later this year, and it looks like he has another series already in the works at the streamer. According toDeadline, it will come in the form of an adaptation ofThe Shrouded College, a new graphic novel series that debuted in November 2022. The adventure-horror story will stretch out its release over the next several years, giving MacFarlane plenty of material to work from if the show proves to be successful.

The Shrouded Collegekicks off withHell To Pay, which released its debut comic in November last year and is releasing in monthly installments. The synopsis of the story reads:

Seth MacFarlane’s Ted

“The Shrouded College will give you magic… but you’ll incur a debt. Until it’s paid you belong to them. Married couple Maia and Sebastian Stone took that deal. They have worked for the College ever since using their new abilities to track down 666 cursed coins: qurrakh… aka the Devil’s Dollar. Only a few remain. The Stones are almost free… but the devil’s in the details. Hellboy meets Indiana Jones in this supernatural adventure from CHARLES SOULE (Eight Billion Genies Undiscovered Country) and WILL SLINEY (Spider-Man).”

The comics themselves have been receiving rave reviews, with praise being heaped on the story, characters, and artwork visuals, which should mean that by the time any TV show makes it to screen, there could be a decent following already behind it. Of course, fantasy shows have been renowned for failingto gain the volume of viewers to counter the high budget investment required, so it will have to be seen whether this one can buck the trend.

Seth MacFarlane Is Completing Work on His Ted Series for Peacock

As part of his massive deal with NBCUniversal, Seth MacFarlane is certainly not just sitting back and expecting to make his money easily. TheFamily Guycreator is currently working on the final production stage of bringing Ted to the small screen. Filming on the series came to an end in November last year, but obviously, with a CGI character at the center of the action, there is a fair amount of VFX work to be done on the show before it finally makes its debut.

Discussing how the process cannot be rushed, MacFarlane previously talked about how bringingTedto the small screen has been much harder than he expected, mainly down to the restructuring required to tell a Ted story in a long-form format. He said:

“It’s interesting, we’re doing a Ted series now for Peacock and initially it’s like ‘Okay, this is a 22-minute series.’ To do these moments that have nothing to do with the story, but are just real asides that are so much a part of what the movie was, we’re having to kind of really think how we’re doing this and restructure it. It’s one of those things about comedy that’s so strange is that things that don’t move the story forward are not always things you want to pull out. It illustrates who these people are.”
