That’s it! It’s all done. The new big screen adaptation of Stephen King’sIThas officially wrapped production. The thriller began shooting in late June, kicking things off with a first look at the iconicPennywise the Clown, as played byBill Skarsgard. Today, we get a decidedly different sneak peek at the terrifying villain.
Producer Barbara Muschietti announced that shooting had finished, posting an image of her cool Pennywise Jack-in-the-Box onInstargram. The movie was directed byAndres Muschietti. It will arrive from New Line Cinema on June 12, 2025, just a little less than a year from now. Barbara Muschietti had this to say about the end of production, thankingStephen Kingfor giving the world this story.

Patrick is said to keep a refrigerator full of the animals he has killed, which sounds delightfully Stephen King.
ITwill be split into two movies, with the first centering on the young kids of The Losers Club as they must face their fears and defeat the evil clown Pennywise. The second movie features the same characters reuniting as adults who must put down this creature again, even though none of them remember the first encounter. No production start date has been announced forIT 2.
Andres Muschietti(Mama) is directing from a script most recently written byGary Doberman.Andres Muschiettistepped in to replaceCary Fukunagaback in July of 2015, after Fukunaga left the project due to creative differences.
