There is No Light Gets Major Update on January 7th
The action-adventure title There is No Light by developer Zelart is getting its “biggest update yet” with the release of the Enhanced Edition on January 7th. The game set in a post-apocalyptic world follows the quest to save your child from the grips of a deadly cult. Now kidnapped by this ominous group, you’re aided with four basic weapons to get them back. The combat mechanic featuring a Rage meter will build as you crush enemies and bosses alike. The fast-paced combat style lets you switch between weapons in real-time battles. Interacting with NPCs to further advance the narrative.
The game features a non-linear narrative, with a karma system dictating what happens depending on your actions and choices in game. This in turn affects the underworld around you, with each campaign being a unique experience. The update focuses on upgrading these mechanics.
The Soul Harvest Update
In the new update players will have further improvements to the map, and a significant overhaul when it comes to the combat system. The Soul Harvest update also comes with a new feature letting you gain new abilities from the bosses you have defeated. There are a dozen new abilities to take on, and improvements made to Death Essences. The addition of cloud saving function has also been included in the patch.
There is No Light is a successful crowded-funded project through its 2020 Kickstarter campaign. The feedback from Steam players has been rather on the positive side and it looks like the developer continued to add further additions to the game. Be sure to grab the game before January 6th as it’s now 25% off.
