On a Mac, running applications are represented in theDockwith a tiny indicator light beneath the icons that represent said applications. iPhones and iPads also have application Docks, but no such indicator appears on those platforms.

As depicted the illustrations above, Dock Indicators can be configured to appear a plethora of different ways. Whether you like a smallmacOS-style dot or longer shapes to take their place, the tweak has you covered. It also lets you apply custom coloring if that’s your cup of tea.

Once installed, Dock Indicators puts a dedicated preference pane in the Settings app where users can configure a number of options to their liking:

While Dock icon indicators aren’t exactly as useful on the iOS and iPadOS platforms as they are in macOS, we think it still offers an aesthetically pleasing effect for the end user.
