Blizzard have announced the new release date for upcoming expansion World of Warcraft Shadowlands for November 23rd.
World of Warcraft Shadowlands Announced for November 23rd
Earlier this month Blizzard announced they would be delaying the release ofWorld of Warcraft Shadowlandsto give more time for “polishing the core features and gameplay". They have now confirmed the new release date is onNovember 23rd.
In the latest twitter post the developer thanks those who were involved with getting Shadowlands to where it is, plus feedback from beta testers. This extra time given has allowed them to make some changes to the Covenant system making player choices “more immediately impactful and have clearer long-term goals”.

This post also announced the pre-launch event which will be starting on November 10th, pitting players against the Scourge and introducing a number of quests getting you ready for Shadowlands. There is also news of the first raid which will be opening on December 8th called Castle Nathria. This takes players to the new area of Revendreth, to Sire Denarthrius' lair.

Shadowlands will bring with it a new player hub the Oribos the Eternal City, also the addition of Covenants which adds four specific factions, granting unique abilities, each with campaign and gear to obtain. It also introduces Torghast, Tower of Damned an interesting rogue-like feature, a game within itself allowing playing to take a number of foes, in a tower that is randomly generated each time you enter.
